Sevis Fees-There is a $100 SEVIS FEE that you are responsible for.
Once you receive your I-20, Please go to http://www.fmjfee.com. Once on the webpage if you have any questions regarding what you are about to pay for please click on “More Information.”
If you have no further questions and are ready to pay the fee choose “Proceed to I-901 form and payment.” Once on the page follow the instructions to make your payment.
You will be asked for the SEVIS N-number, which is located on the upper right hand corner of your I-20 form.

Visa Procedure. - Please go to the US embassy website covering your area and obtain the exact details. The following websites are for various regions as per the address on your passport.

You are required to pay the US Visa application fee at the HDFC bank.
Please go to U.S. embassy website and obtain an appointment for your Visa
Once you obtain the visa appointment please contact Col. Chander Mohan on 9810011071 / 9871768102 for obtaining guidance on documentation and the actual Interview.
Please inform the outcome of the visa interview to us through Email or Telephone.
Post Visa
Arrival- If you have received your Visa please make your travel plans such that you arrive in the USA 10 days prior to your course start date. Our course begins 15th of every month which means you must arrive by the 5th of that month Kemper Aviation is located at Lantana Airport. International students may arrive at the following International airports,
1. Miami International (MIA) or Ft. Lauderdale International (FLL). A pickup can be arranged from the airport at the cost of $100. Pickups are only available from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday thru Saturday.
2. Palm Beach International (PBI)- Pickup is available from the airport from 9 AM to 8 PM, Monday thru Saturday, pickup charge is $25 from PBI.
Please wait for us at the arrival area of your airline, there will be someone there with a board of Kemper Aviation.
If your flight is delayed past 8PM you must stay in a hotel or take public transportation. Please plan to reach during these times. If you are likely to arrive at other times please stay in a hotel for the night.
You are requested to inform the school two weeks in advance about your arrival.
Accommodation- Kemper has obtained several town houses for the student accommodations. The units have a common living room, kitchen, 2-˝ bath and four bedrooms. You are requested to intimate two weeks in advance about your requirements of accommodation in terms of the following:
- Lodging. Do you need Kemper to arrange accommodation? If yes, would you prefer?
- Single Room @ $ 600 per month, or
- A shared Room @ $ 375 per month.
- Transportation. The accommodation is located 4 miles from the airport. You may :-
- Use the transportation provided by the school @ $150 per month or
- You may make your own arrangements. Some students buy a bicycle for commuting or purchase a car.
All are acceptable forms of transportation. The preferred choice is the transportation provided by the school. Students using the school transportation are taken once weekly for grocery also.
- Food. The kitchen is well equipped. All students are required to make their own food and we do accept them to be mature enough to respect each others sensibilities and share the effort to keep the houses always presentable.
- Communications. A telephone is available at each of the town houses. Internet facilities are also available
Also guests arriving with a student are not permitted to stay in the student housing and must make their own arrangements.
TSA- On finalization of your travel plans you are requested to pre-enroll for TSA/NATA and pay the Finger Printing Charges ($74.00). This will make the finger printing process quicker upon arrival in the USA. You must print the form and bring it with you to the USA. If you do not have that form when you arrive at Kemper, we will not be able to complete the fingerprinting process, therefore delaying your training. This is assuming that you have already obtained the TSA clearance and only waiting for fingerprinting. In case you have not please obtain TSA registration and clearance as given in the step by step instructions for enrolment given on our website. (www.flight101.com)
Finances- Based on your payment options you may cater for the following:
- Total Payment Upfront. A draft for Kemper Aviation or Rohan Aviation or wire transfer of $ 35,000 ($ 31,000 for training and $ 4000 for housing) to be given before training is to commence. In addition please carry $3000 in cash and travelers cheque in dollars for initial personal payments. NO amount will be given from training account. Please do not make any requests as the financial system cannot handle this and you will lose all discounts and will have to pay for extra expenditure that is caused to the school due to taxation laws. Please provide adequate funds in time for your personal needs.
- Payment in Installments. Initially a draft of a minimum of $ 7000 for the school ($5000 for your flying account and $2000 for your housing and other school expenses). Also carry a draft of $ 2000 in your own name and $1000 or more in cash or travelers cheques to obtain a personal bank account. Subsequently all the accounts can be increased via wire transfers on a need be basis and as training progresses.
- Payment through Bank Loans. The Bank should be advised to disburse the loan in four installments with the first installment being $9500 which should be carried by the individual. Subsequent installments should be planned by the bank after ever 35 to 40 days. You may also find out in case Bank needs any special documents from the school so that the installments are not delayed. Additionally please carry cash or travelers cheque of $ 3000 for personal payments.
The school will not provide any training whatsoever in case of shortage of finances in the individuals training account. The onus of having adequate funds rests with the student and his family.
Items to bring with you - The weather is generally warm but does get nippy on occasions and therefore you may want to bring clothing accordingly. You will not need heavy woolens but a few light sweaters may be needed. You are requested to bring the following items in addition to the normal personal equipment and clothing:
- Two Khaki and Two black trousers.
- Light bedding to include a pillow, a blanket, sheets and pillow slips.
- Bath requisites to include bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes.
- A laptop computer is desirable but not essential.
The kitchen is fully equipped so there is no need to bring any utensils. Also as most people cook and eat together there is no need to bring any groceries as these are available conveniently. If you use Kemper’s transportation you will be driven to the grocery store once weekly,

Health Insurance- Medical treatment in most western countries is very expensive, often several times over what the same treatment would cost in India. Students will find it difficult to pay for medical emergencies and therefore must buy Medical Insurance.
Students can choose to insure themselves either in India or abroad.
It is preferable to buy insurance in India as firstly it is cheaper and secondly it also covers non medical risks. Student insurance policies by Indian insurers cost $200 to $ 250 for one year as against $500-900 per year in the USA.

You should take out a suitable Health insurance policy before you proceed to the USA.
